You’ll find Avon Tyres in action on the trackday scene this season as sponsor of evo magazine’s evoactive trackday events. Stylishly produced and written by enthusiasts who are also expert drivers, evo is Britain’s premier high performance car magazine. Avon Tyres’ reputation for fast road and track driving makes it a natural partner with evo for these events.
evoactive, in association with Avon Tyres, is hosting 15 events during 2003 – 12 main trackdays and three trackday introductory courses. Avon will supply a variety of tyres for the Caterhams and Radicals being used for demonstration laps. (Caterham, by the way, already fits Avon tyres as standard to several of its models; TVR also fits Avons to its Tamora.)
Avon’s involvement with evo’s trackday season should come as no surprise. The British-based company supplies tyres to more than 150 race series around the world, including Formula 3, Formula 3000, Formula Ford, rally cross, the Le Mans race and the classic Formula 1 and Thoroughbred Grand Prix championships.
