Avon Launches New-Look Car and Bike Tyre Brochures
The rejuvenation of Avon Tyres continues apace with the launch of a series of new-look brochures for the company’s car, off-roader, van, trailer, motorcycle and sidecar tyre ranges.
With a dynamic photographic style that emphasises the brand’s high performance and high quality attributes, the brochures were shot on location in Switzerland, Italy and around the UK. Most of the shots were taken by renowned British automotive photographer, David Shepherd.
Rather than dwell purely on the practical details of what many customers perceive as a 'distress purchase', the new Avon Tyres brochures focus on the positive emotional aspects of buying top-notch tyres – the freedom of the open road, the thrill of driving or riding on mountain passes, the confidence you feel when your tyres are stable, quiet and handle well. To further accentuate the 'emotional' angle, each range of tyres is introduced by a short story relating the range in question.
In addition, though, several pages in the brochures are devoted to tyre care and safety, guides to speed and load ratings, together with tips on how to get the most from your tyres. The car tyre brochure also features an easy-to-use conversion table for customers wanting to switch from standard tyre and wheel packages to lower profile aftermarket ensembles while maintaining the tyre’s original rolling radius.
Commenting on the new brochures, David Carson, Cooper-Avon Tyres' European Brand Manager, said: 'Our latest brochures reflect the direction in which the Avon brand is heading – they’re chic, high quality and dynamic.
'By creating sales literature that doesn’t merely present you with pictures of tyres,' he continues, 'we're hoping that our potential customers won't immediately consign their brochure to the bin, but might leave it lying around for friends to read.'
Dedicated high performance tyre brochures for both cars and motorbikes will be available later in the year.
