Cooper Introduces Zeon XST
FINDLAY, OHIO, AUGUST 19, 2003 - COOPER TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY (NYSE:CTB) introduces its newest addition in performance tires – the Cooper Zeon XST.
With the Zeon XST, consumers can improve both the appearance and performance of their sport "tuned" trucks and SUVs. The Zeon XST is a true performance tire. It features spiral would nylon overwrap, a directional tread pattern and optimized tire profile – just like Cooper’s ultra high performance Zeon 2XS.
Among the Zeon XST’s distinctions is a range of sizes. Currently, this H-rated tire is offered in nine 18 inch and 20-inch sizes, which represent original equipment replacement and "tuned" truck/SUV opportunities. Cooper will introduce 22 and 23-inch sizes in the fourth quarter of 2003 and 24-inch sizes in the first quarter of 2004.
The tire features a performance reinforced tread compound that is specifically engineered to optimize all-around sport truck tire performance. Capitalizing on technology from Cooper’s all-weather performance lines, the Zeon XST offers not only good looks and crisp handling, but also even wear and a smooth, comfortable, quiet ride.
Cooper is confident about the performance of these tires. So confident, the Zeon XST carries a 45-day free road test warranty. If a consumer is not satisfied with the tires after 45 days, the tires may be returned for a full refund.
