Mastercraft Introduces the Courser HTR Plus
FINDLAY, OHIO, APRIL 13, 2004 – MASTERCRAFT TIRES introduces its newest addition to the popular Courser HTR line – the Courser HTR Plus – the tire for the sport truck, light truck and SUV driving enthusiast with a passion for adventure.
The new Courser HTR Plus features the latest thinking in performance design and construction. With this tire, consumers can improve both the appearance and performance of their sport trucks, light trucks and SUVs. Among the Courser HTR Plus’ distinctions is a range of sizes. Currently, this S-rated tire is offered in eleven 18- and 20-inch sizes, which represent original equipment replacement, and sport and light truck and SUV opportunities.
The HTR Plus delivers an impressive blend of innovative and state-of-the-art technology that redefines all-weather performance in both handling and appearance. The tapered tread design features “see-through” grooves and wide lateral traction slots, providing serious all-weather performance. This plus-size tire also delivers a powerful combination of all-season durability and comfort, while the rounded mold profile provides exceptional handling and traction in wet conditions, in addition to long tread life. The result? A powerful tire that unleashes commanding performance and rugged capability.
“The Courser HTR Plus is a real light truck tire, not a passenger tire for large diameter wheels like a lot of the original equipment fitments,” said Carl Casalbore, vice president of retail sales and high performance tire development. “The vehicles for which the HTR Plus was designed are not necessarily light weight vehicles, and often they are used to tow or carry a load. The owners of Dodge Rams or Ford Harley Davidson trucks, for instance, view their vehicles as trucks, not cars. We made a tire for that consumer.”
